So today’s day 14 out of 100. And you know what I realised? That not only am I doing the 100 days of makeup challenge but also the 100 days of blogging challenge. (Is that even a thing? I don’t know) I know you’re probably think how stupid I am for only just realising this. But honestly the two had never really connected in my head until just now. Which means I’m doing like 2 challenges in 1. And if my calculations work out then I should be done with both challenges on the 30th August! It feels like that will come by so quickly but also so far away you know?
So for today’s look I wanted to do something with pink, that much I knew. Then I was browsing the album on my phone where I save all makeup looks that inspire me, and kept seeing pinky ones. For anyone that doesn’t know, pink is probably my favourite colour. So you can imagine my shock when I open my Morphe 35c palette and find I’ve barely used the pinks! So I decided to fix that by creating today’s super pink look!
I was kind of inspired by laurenrohrer on Instagram and a hot pink look she created some time ago, but I decided to do my own recreation with products I have at home. And here’s what I ended up with!
- Eyes: Nyx ultimate shadow palette in warm neutrals in the crease, I’ve been loving this just as a base before I go in with other colours! Then I used the pink shades in the Morphe 35c palette. Finally I used Coastal Scents single eyeshadow in ‘peach fuzz’ on the inner 3rd of the lid.
- Lips: I tried so many different lip colours but they were all a little off you know? So I ended up with the Anastasia Beverly Hills lip gloss in Date Night. (Why is it everytime I wear lip gloss I remind myself how much I hate lip gloss? Who wants their hair stuck to their lips all day? Not Me!)
(If you want to know what kinds of products I use for the rest of my face then check out yesterday’s post!)
Since I used my morphe palette in today’s look I just wanted to mention it a little but. It is the only Morphe palette I own right now (when Jaclyn Hill hurries and releases her collaboration palette that number will rise to 2!!) and it was my first ‘real’ eyeshadow palette. I know it’s not a very popular palette and I rarely hear people talk about it, but it’s seriously amazing! Especially for someone who’s starting out and isn’t sure what colours they like to wear yet. But it’s also amazing if you want to start pushing yourself creatively because you have so many colours to choose from! You can pretty much create any look you want! So I strongly recommend this to anyone looking to discover the colour scheme they like to wear or anyone who wants to experiment!
Some other exciting news! I HIT 100 FOLLOWERS ON INSTAGRAM! Okay right now I’m at 120 something but you know you have those people that follow you to unfollow you, so I wanted to be a little over 100 before I started getting all excited. BUT NOW IT’S OFFICIAL! I know we shouldn’t measure our success over followers and likes but it’s still kind of an accomplishment isn’t it!
Until next time
