You know those days where for one reason or another you’re anxious/excited for a certain thing to happen. Then every moment before that seems to go so slowly? Well that was pretty much today. I spent most of the day checking and rechecking my tracking information for my Jeffree order. Which I found out has arrived in Sweden today! So hopefully it should be ready for me to pick it up sometime tomorrow! That was the exciting thing I’ve been waiting for.
Then there’s the thing that’s making me anxious… I wondered why for the past couple of days I’d felt super stressed but not known why. (I know it sounds strange but it’s something that happens to me quite often. That I know that I’m stressed/anxious but don’t know why. Then it takes a while for me to figure out why I feel like I do.) And this time it’s because of results… The dreaded IB (International Baccalaureate) final results get released this Thursday, 2 years worth of work condensed into a couple of numbers. (If you’re unfamiliar with the IB system they grade 1-7 instead of A-F.) I’m counting on my lipsticks arriving tomorrow to occupy my mind for the day and then I only have half a day Thursday to get through till results are published.
I know I don’t actually ‘need’ good grades for anything, because as of right now I’m not planning on going to uni. But there’s still pressure to get results that resemble the amount of hard work I put in. Does that make any sense? I’m trying to stay positive and remembering that I know I’ll have earned whatever I get and no matter what; I finished IB! Which is what matters the most! I’ll probably say this again on Thursday, but Good Luck to any of you waiting for results! Whether it’s IB final grades, A levels, GCSE’s or whatever other results you’re waiting for! I hope you all do amazingly and get the results you’re hoping for!
Other than all that, today was pretty unexciting and not much happened. So I’ll save you the boring details and get right to today’s look!
100 Days of Makeup: Day 35 look
For today’s look I was scrolling through Instagram and saw a couple of different looks that featured bright fiery Orange eyeshadow. Which totally inspired me to stick to the Fiery Orange Theme. And I have to say I’m in love with how it all turned out!
To start I used a mix of the NYX Ultimate Shadow Palette in Warm Neutrals as well as the Morphe 35C palette in the crease, using mainly a range of matte Orangey toned shades. I even pulled this onto the outer third of my lid. I then borrowed a palette from my sister that I’d never tried before, like I’d never even tried the brand before. The palette was the Violet Voss X Laura Lee Pro Eyeshadow Palette. I mean I’d heard pretty good things about Violet Voss Shadows before but this palette blew my mind! I didn’t try any of the matte shades because I’d already used the other palettes before I decided to use this, but the shimmers…. OMG! I used the shades Hissy Fit and Fleeky on the first 2/3 of the lid, then added the shade Bitty on the outer third on top of where I already had the matte shadows. It was like I had an actual glitter on my lid, but without all the mess! I really hope you can tell just how stunning these shimmery shades actually are!
For the lips I used Smashbox’s Always on Liquid Lipstick in the shade True Grit. These liquid lipsticks are a really nice formula! Super pigmented, easy to work with and last really well throughout the day! They’re also really comfortable to wear! I’ve tried this shade and the shade In Demand and both are really nice! So if you still haven’t found your perfect liquid lip formula, try checking these out!
I really hope you like today’s look and are as excited as I am for a post about the Jeffree Chrome Collection!
Until next time
