Quick life update:
Right now I’m sitting on the train on my first 2hr train journey of the day writing this haul post. (Maybe not by the time I post this because the internet isnt the best.) You’re probably wondering why the hell I’m taking the train for 4 hours a day… That’s because I’m going to school to become a qualified makeup artist! (&hair stylist & eyelash technician & spray tan technician. I’m not too sure if those last two are their official names, but nevermind!)
As of the 1st August until the end of October I’ll be spending 4 hours every weekday (+ some weekends) travelling to Makeupstudion in Malmö. But it will all be worth it in the end!
So, since I haven’t really had time to create any new looks I decided to try a different kind of post! A first impressions/ haul of all my recent makeup/ skincare purchases! I’ll follow up with a review of how I feel after I’ve used all the products, as well as pictures of looks I create using them!
What I ordered from wish:
40 clear acrylic lipstick holder:
My obsession for Jeffree Stats Velour Liquid Lipsticks has outgrown my original acrylic lipstick organiser. So I decided to get a larger one for just my Jeffree lipsticks then I could use the smaller one for other Brands I want to display on my desk. (But lets be honest it’ll probably end up being filled with jeffree too… )
It did arrive with a piece broken off so I was refunded, but with a bit of glue it will still be useable for the while!
Selection of 5 pack false lashes:
I ordered these 3 packs of eyelashes from different sellers on wish and so far I’ve only tried one of the styles and was pleasantly surprised! Most of my falsies are actually from wish and I’m nearly always happy with them. (So far I’ve only had one pack that were pretty crap.) So I can’t wait to try out the other styles!
Stila magnificent metals liquid eye shadow in diamond dust:
After seeing almost every Youtuber rave about this product I finally gave in! I’d been looking for a glitter liner for a while and this seemed like the perfect option; I can wear it all over the lid or use a smaller brush and use it as liner. So far I’ve only swatched this but ohmygod! It was so sparkly and amazing I cant wait to put this all over my eyelids!
RCMA no colour powder:
Another ‘Youtube made me buy it’. I have heard so many good things about this powder I cannot wait to try it! The only instant thing I noticed was the packaging… I think I’m going to have to empty some powder into another container. But I do that currently with my Ben Nye Translucent powder so it’s not such a problem!
L’Oreal clay masks in detox and glow:
For any of you that don’t know I have kind of sensitive skin. If I rub or irritate my face too much it becomes quite red and sore. The plan was to repurchase the Garnier sheet masks. But, after looking around on the Boots website I found these L’Oreal clay masks, and they were £2 off as well. This made them much cheaper than the sheet masks! They have quite a few different masks that are meant to do different things, but I decided to pick up the ‘detox’ for days when I feel like I need a deep clean. Then the ‘glow’ mask for days when my face is a little more irritated.
I have actually already tried each of these once and am really really impressed by them! But I’ll give you an update when I’ve used them a couple more times!
Makeup obsession cosmetics cream contour in highlight in light & contour powder in light:
I stumbled across this brand on boots.com and for only £3 each I was intrigued about their quality! So, I decided to just pick up these 3 to try first. I stuck to contour products because I’d tried to pick a a few eyeshadows but it was impossible to narrow it down to only a couple! But if I like these I’ll definitely be trying more of their stuff! The only initial downside I see right now is how the pans pop out if you push on them, so I may have to look at getting one of their palettes to keep them in instead. But from the swatches I’m super excited to try them!
Sleek solstice palette:
Another one of those youtube made me buy it items, plus my mom has wanted me to buy an amazing highlight for ages! Hopefully this will make her happy! The swatches were very impressive so I can’t wait to try them!
Then here are some swatches of both the Sleek Solstice palette and the Makeup Obsession Cosmetics products:
Sleek matte 2 palette:
Boots.com also had a buy one get one half price offer on all sleek products. So, as it was my first time trying anything from the brand, I thought I’d try their eyeshadows out too. I finally decided on the Matte 2 as I thought the colours would add so much to my collection. The swatches were super pigmented and buttery so I really hope they work well on the eyes!
(Picture is from boots.com because I forgot to take one.)
Morphe x Jaclyn Hill palette:
I FINALLY GOT IT! I’m so excited to finally try this palette because I haven’t seen one bad review ever! So far I haven’t actually touched any of the shadows because I want to have a solid few hours to sit and play with it. Like I don’t want to feel rushed where I can only swatch and that’s it. It probably sounds weird but when I’ve waited for this palette for so long, I know once I’ve started swatching I’ll be forced to try them on my eyes! But just from looking at it its soooo pretty!!!
So that was everything for this haul! I hope you enjoyed reading this post and are as excited as I am for the final review of these products!
Until next time
